NYer, Beck, Sundance, Etc.
Happy 2013! I’m taking advantage of this post-vacation pre-stress haze to put up some work from the end of the year. Below is a piece about jazz for The New Yorker.
I illustrated a song for Beck’s new Song Reader - a beautiful package of sheet music designed and published by McSweeney’s. Big thanks to Walter Green and Jordan Bass for including me in such an awesome group of artists. The album is unrecorded, inviting people to play and interpret the songs themselves. Here are a few examples!

Here’s a full-page for PlanSponsor’s Year in Review issue. Something about pension buyouts, maybe. Thanks again to SooJin Buzelli!
I’m also part of this year’s Sundance Film Festival A to Z book, designed by Todd Oldham Studio. Every artist had to illustrate a letter, which represented different films, actors/actresses, and directors. My letter was S - Secretary, Slacker, and Steven Soderbergh.
And lastly, a few holiday food friends I made to give away. Someone hire me to make more of these!
